For the Second Time, SBF is a Tampa Bay Times Top Workplace

SBF has moved up two spots to No. 2 in the annual list of Tampa Bay’s best places to work, based on employee surveys.

This past year has challenged all of us in so many different ways, but nothing has changed our commitment to our employees and to our motto, People Matter Most.

The Tampa Bay Times has recognized Spoor Bunch Franz for our efforts in maintaining our positive culture and has ranked SBF as No. 2 among small businesses in its annual list of the Tampa Bay area’s top workplaces.  Small businesses were defined as those having between 50 and 149 employees.

The rankings are based on confidential third-party employee surveys, and SBF’s ranking reflects the firm’s work-life flexibility and our office culture. Last year, SBF ranked No. 4 among small companies.

In one of the stories published as part of the Top Workplaces series, SBF was highlighted for our flexibility in allowing remote work. When the significant other of one of our senior tax associates, Alexia Pappas, was transferred from MacDill Air Force Base, she stood at a crossroads. Should she try to stay with SBF, at a job she valued, or should she try to find work where she was moving? We were able to work with Alexia to keep her on and have done the same with a few others who have relocated and now work remotely. This type of flexibility is part of what makes our culture work for our employees.

We are proud to be featured as a workplace with a flexible, responsive culture, and we are honored to be included alongside so many great workplaces in our community. Check out the full story about Tampa Bay’s Top Workplaces.
