Tampa Bay Business Journal Names SBF a Best Place to Work for Fifth Year in a Row

It’s an honor tied to an employee survey, which makes it especially meaningful to us.

SBF is thrilled to share that we’ve been named one of the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Best Places to Work 2023 — the fifth year in a row we’ve been so honored, and one of only two CPA firms among this year’s honorees.

Finalists were evaluated on measures like employee engagement, team effectiveness, alignment with goals and trust between coworkers and senior leadership.

As we enter the final sprint of “busy season” before the April 18 federal tax filing deadline, making this list is especially gratifying for us, since nominees are rated by a company’s employees, rather than a panel of judges.

We at SBF have been hard at work all year ensuring that we take care of our team so they can deliver the best results for our clients. Some examples:

We’ve gone to Las Vegas to learn from our peers about nurturing careers and kicked back at Tampa’s Epicurean Hotel for an energizing company retreat.
We’ve reached out to budding accountants and future leaders through our Summer Leadership Program. (If you or someone you know is interested in our SLP, please apply here.)
We’ve continued to give back all year round, in appreciation of the communities we live in.
We’ve thought deeply about how we recruit new people, how we earn trust from our clients and how our mergers can teach us even more about building a great office culture.

A total of 60 Tampa Bay-area businesses in four different-sized categories share this “Best Places to Work” title. SBF is excited to join our fellow honorees at a special event celebrating our teams at Tampa’s Steinbrenner Field on April 26.

We thank our team members for this recognition as we continue to build a workplace we can all take pride in.
