Tom Whiteman

Tom Whiteman is a Principal at Spoor Bunch Franz.  Tom joined the Firm in 2014. Tom, a long time St. Petersburg resident and CPA, was the founding partner of Whiteman & Company in 1992. He was previously a partner in several local firms. Tom‘s areas of expertise include Tax Planning and Compliance, Accounting and Consulting Services, Business Development Services, Succession Planning, and QuickBooks and Peachtree Software Installation and Support. He takes great pride in working with his clients utilizing his significant experience in the Construction, Restaurant and Long-Term Care Industry along with several other industries. Tom enjoys working with his clients year round using a proactive approach.

Tom received his Business Administration degree from the University of South Florida and is a life member of the Alumni Association. He is a life member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a founding member and Past President of the local Suncoast Chapter.

Tom is actively involved in the Exchange Club of Northeast St. Petersburg, Florida and has held various positions including President and Treasurer. He was the Founder, Organizer and Chairman of “Ribfest” from 1990-2011 and is Entertainment Chair from 1990 to current. Tom has been on the Board of Trustees at St. Anthony’s Hospital and a Member of the Finance Committee since 2011. He is a past president and treasurer of the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and served on their board for over seven years. He is also a member of Suncoast Tiger Bay Club. He has served on several City of St. Petersburg commissions, since 2002. He is a graduate of Leadership St. Pete Class of 1991.

Tom is married with two children and two grandchildren. When not working, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife, Cheryl, and boating on one of the many lakes and bays of Florida, and most recently international travel.
