Steve is responsible for business development and ensuring that SBF stays on the leading edge of solutions to promote our clients’ success. He specializes in providing tax compliance, tax planning, financial accounting/assurance, and management consulting services to physician practices, professional healthcare firms, automobile dealers, and other middle market companies.
Before joining SBF in 2006, Steve worked at both PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte & Touche in Tampa, working primarily with large public companies and development stage biotechnology companies. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant, member of the AICPA and FICPA and is a past member of the FICPA UF Accounting Conference. Steve has served on three separate education-related boards – two previously and one currently. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the John B. Gorrie Foundation as well as the Board of Directors for the University of Florida Alumni Association, on which he led the committee that works with UF Admissions to facilitate recruiting events for prospective students. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Florida Fisher School of Accounting. He also serves on the Advisory Boards for Synovus Bank of Florida and Get Live 45 – the Devin White Foundation. Steve is a past Chairman of the Board and Treasurer of the Humane Society of Pinellas County, and past president of Kappa Alpha Order Tampa Alumni Chapter. He is also a graduate of Leadership Pinellas Class of 2009.
Steve is married with a son and two daughters, and currently resides in Tampa. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family on the boat.
