Julie has 15 years of experience in public accounting, and she recently joined the firm. She has experience in both public accounting and private industry specializing in affordable housing. Prior to joining the firm, Julie was Accounting Manager at Aeon, a nonprofit real estate developer and property management company in Minneapolis, MN. At Aeon, she managed an accounting staff that provided excellent service for over 45 properties and worked with the housing development staff to successfully onboard new properties into the Aeon portfolio, including new construction and acquisition/rehab projects. Her passion for affordable housing began at Baker Tilly, where as an Audit Manager she managed the largest affordable housing client in the Minneapolis office. Her clients also included construction and nonprofit organizations. Julie has experience working with clients with a wide variety of funding sources, including equity investors, LIHTC, historic tax credits, RD, and HUD. Julie recently joined the Board of Directors of the Florida Council of Affordable Rural Housing and will also serve as the treasurer. Julie graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and is in the process of obtaining a memberships to the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
