SBF Employees Again Vote Us Among Best Places to Work

Nothing beats a supportive and nurturing office culture, and SBF is proud to receive this honor from our staff for the fourth year in a row.

For the fourth year in a row, we at Spoor Bunch Franz are honored that our employees have voted us into the top ranks of the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s best places to work among large businesses. SBF has placed third this year, based on confidential employee surveys — a fact that makes this recognition extra special.

Our commitment to creating the best and most supportive office culture for our staff runs through every aspect of our business. When employees thrive, our clients get the best possible care. That’s why we rely on a “soft skills” approach, offering trainings and retreats to help us combat burnout, learn helpful communication techniques and foster career growth at every opportunity. “Busy season,” when our accountants are working on filing tax returns, is a particularly vital time for us to look after each other. Something as simple as in-office massages and secret gift exchanges can lighten the load tremendously.

It’s important to us that SBF maintains this personal investment in our staff as we grow. Hiring the right team front-loads a lot of the great qualities of our office culture, and we take a lot of care in making the case to the right candidates. Once someone new joins SBF, we want to ensure a smooth transition by assigning new hires a “coach” to help show them the ropes and model how they can pay it forward to the next new team member.

While SBF is a young company, it’s rooted in long-established accounting firms with decades of experience. Our partners bring years of personal and communal insight to creating the right kind of work environment.

We so appreciate our employees for recognizing SBF in this particular venue. It’s immensely gratifying to earn a place on lists like this and the Tampa Bay Times’ Top WorkPlaces, where we ranked again in 2022 for the third time over the past three years. Thank you to our SBF team, past, present — and future!
